A collective identity is the thing that makes the individual feel safe andbelonging, it also reflects to the person's own identity. In our case, thecollective identity, I believe, consists of three major concepts that allPalestinians share together, namely; Tradition, Resistance and Dreams

Each culture has a tradition which is a great source of identity, the seen part if we may call it so, for it's the part that you can see. It reflects how one dresses, talks or even by attending traditional festivals for example.

Another thing is resistance m especially in our Palestinian society and due to the fact that we are being occupied, resistance plays a big role in our identity. In order to survive and fight for our freedom, and that is the thing that helped us stand our ground for more than 60 years. So, being a part of our identity, resistance was passed down from one generation to the other, and will still be passed down until the day we're free. J

Last but not least is Dreams, the special one dream that gathers us all, that which we all share and wait eagerly to see come true, that is; freedom. Giving us hope for a better future and a quit peaceful life, exactly for that do we all live and suffer and fight for our survival.

To sum up, in my point of view, our identity represents our past, present and future, in the form of tradition, resistance and dreams, to form the identity which all Palestinians bear in their hearts.
